Negro History Week was instituted in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson. But did you know that it was educators and students from the Black United Students at Kent State University who proposed the celebration be month long?
The Office of Multicultural Programs celebrates Black History Month and the contributions of Carter G. Woodson and Black folks from across the globe. Students have the power to do anything. What will your legacy be? What will be Your Geneseo Story?
