Located on the first floor of Fraser Hall on the way up to the Library, these are part of a large number of posters (and thousands of performer contracts) which have recently been added to the College Archives collection in Fraser
Hall Library. Together they help to illustrate the breadth of cultural
events brought to SUNY Geneseo from 1966-2020.
The variety of artists, performers, speakers, shows and other events
that have come to the Geneseo campus (some more than once!) is
remarkable, as is much of the artwork used in creating the promotional
posters. Both can tell us much about the intellectual, social, and
political landscapes – both at the College and in the larger society — at
various points over the years.
