At the end of Open Access Week, we encourage you to extend your OA use throughout the year. Open Access is more important than a single week, and it’s something you can do the whole year. There are many ways to celebrate Open Access throughout the year; below is a partial list of ways you can take OA Week through to the next International OA Week:
- Include OA material in your classes and your research
- License your work with a Creative Commons license
- Support library publishing
- Use institutional repositories to access OA material
- Share code
- Support scholarly communications initiatives
