Where can a person read the current issue of Nature, find a copy of Boswell’s Life of Samuel Johnson — and borrow The Big Lebowksi on DVD? Milne Library has long offered a variety of films on VHS and DVD, but recently enhanced the collection, purchasing over 300 DVD copies of feature and educational films for our users’ viewing pleasure and study. All the recent Academy Award winners are here, plus other popular films such as Frost/Nixon, Julie & Julia, Inglorious Basterds, and Milk. You’ll also find titles that may not have made it to the Geneseo Cinemas but are worth seeing — The Last Station, Waltz with Bashir, and King Corn, to list just a small fraction of what’s available for a four-week loan.
Milne Library is undergoing an extensive audiovisual reformatting project, making the switch from VHS to DVD formats for many of our popular items. Like all the materials in Milne, the films are “discoverable” through the Beta catalog and GLOCAT. Just ask a librarian for help!
