Last semester, Milne Library introduced the online Plagiarism Tutorial as a replacement for its GOLD Plagiarism Workshop. We are happy to report that 350 students completed the tutorial and we have received a lot of positive feedback about it.
Given the success of the Plagiarism Tutorial, we are working with CIT to develop a better reporting mechanism that will make it easier for faculty to see which students have completed the Plagiarism Tutorial. This reporting mechanism is anticipated to be up and running by Fall 2020.
If you are assigned the Plagiarism Tutorial this spring, please consider:
- If you have not yet completed the Plagiarism Tutorial, then you may self-enroll in the course at https://canvas.geneseo.edu/enroll/LK6KKA.
- If you completed the tutorial in Fall 2019, you will not be able to re-enroll in the Plagiarism Tutorial. We are exploring options to address this by Fall 2020.
- If you completed the tutorial last semester, you may have a completion confirmation in your email inbox. If you don’t have a copy of their confirmation, email Brandon West (Head of Research Instruction Services) at westb@geneseo.edu.
