New Year, New Resources!

The Library is pleased to add National Survey of State Laws,  and HeinOnline Water Rights  & Resources to our resources!

National Survey of State Laws

This database version of Rich Leiter’s National Survey of State Laws provides an overall view of some of the most sought-after and controversial legal topics in the United States. The new 9th edition, along with the 8th, 7th, 6th and 5th editions are included in database format, which allows users to compare the same laws as they existed in 2005, 2008, 2015, 2019, and 2022.

We have electronic access to the 1st edition (1993) to the 9th edition (2022). We have the 8th and 9th editions in print as well.

You can find this resource on the HeinOnline platform, by browsing Databases by Name.  (You will need to be logged in with your Geneseo username first.)

HeinOnline Water Rights & Resources

This resource is dedicated to understanding the complex interplay of state and federal laws that govern all aspects of water in society, from its municipal use to restoring its pristine condition. Collecting congressional documents, books, legislative histories on major legislation, and Supreme Court briefs on related cases, this collection touches on a wide range of water issues. Topics covered include irrigation, hydropower, water conservation, drinking water quality, and tribal water rights.
