The next time you place an IDS request for a book or media item, you’ll notice a new, cleaner layout and some helpful new features, including:
- “Find My Item” widget — starting with a blank request form? Supply title and author keywords (or just an ISBN) and this widget will give you a list of relevant titles. Clicking on a title will automatically fill in the rest of the request form, as well as display Amazon.com reviews, full text availability, Milne Library holdings (if available), and book seller prices. Of course, whether or not you use this new widget, you can still request the item through IDS.
- “Get It” faster — the right hand side of the page is devoted to your delivery options, with the fastest at the top of the list. Now it’s easier to determine your best delivery options, whether it be online full text, a copy here in Milne, from a book seller, or from other libraries. When using the “Find My Item” widget, it’s easy to browse titles to see which one has the quickest availability.
- Calendar date picker — now it’s easier to specify your “Not wanted after” date with our new calendar date picker. Need it by next Friday? Easy: just click on the calendar icon and pick that date.
