Milne Library is pleased to announce the beta launch of our new and improved library catalog, GLOCAT+. One search box for everything you need.
GLOCAT+ can be found in the library's "QuickSearch" box under "In Milne."
This new service will be available on the library’s web page for students and faculty to test-drive upon their return from spring break.
One of the biggest differences between the classic version and the new catalog is that with GLOCAT+, you’ll be able to search for books, media, and journal articles all with one search. Additionally, the new catalog will search for and display results from content on library subject guides. These changes are based on feedback and usability testing completed this February. It is our hope that these new tab labels will better assist users in choosing the proper search scope for their needs.
IDS Search will remain the default search for our QuickSearch box, though it’s tab will now be called “Beyond Milne.” The classic version of GLOCAT can still be found through a link on the the library’s main page under “Find Books and Media” or under “Popular Resources.” The “Journals” tab will remain as the third tab and can be used for finding out what journals Milne has access to and whether our access is available from an online database or in print.
